St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church
Johnson Creek
12
07 1907
Johnson Creek, Wis.
A large number of faithful
from this place and from out of town attended the dedication services of St.
Mary Magdalene Church yesterday (Thanksgiving) forenoon. Catholic societies
from Jefferson attended in a body and a few minutes before 10 o'clock the
public which had assembled in front of the Park Hotel set in motion and went to
the church, where High Mass was held ... The church is built in gothic style
and beautifully finished in the interior ... Most of the windows were dedicated
by individual members of the congregation and the building is a pride to
Johnson Creek. The weather was all that could be wished for and a good many
took advantage of the holiday to come to this village to attend the ceremonies.
