| Mamre
Moravian Church - Lake Mills Watertown Daily Times, 07 23 1999 AZTALAN - It symbolized a year and a half of work and more than 130 years of heritage. A dedication ceremony Sunday celebrated the resurrection of the original Mamre Moravian Church rebuilt adjacent to the Lake Mills-Aztalan Historical Society Museum. “May it be a place of remembrance,” said Moravian Bishop Milo Loppnow as he led the ceremony under a canvas canopy, dedicating the diminutive log church to its new purpose as a historical reminder of the importance of religion to the area's early residents. |
